Sochi, 5th February From today until Friday, IOC members will debate the future of Olympic Movement focusing on the so-called Olympic Agenda 2020 initiated by IOC President Thomas Bach last year.

EOC President Pat Hickey is attending the Session in his capacity as IOC Executive Board Member.

After last night’s official opening at Zimny Theatre, when Russia’s President Vladimir Putting welcomed the International Olympic Committee to Sochi, the working session started this morning, with participants addressing the three key themes of sustainability, credibility and youth, structured into five themes:
1. Uniqueness of the Olympic Games
2. Athletes at the heart of the Olympic Movement
3. Olympism in action: keeping Olympism alive 365 days a year
4. The IOC’s role: unity in diversity
5. IOC structure and organisation
