A nomination for the 2022 Summer Piotr Nurowski “Best European Athlete” Prize follows a breakthrough season for Great Britain’s Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix.

The young diver has had a tremendous year in 2022, winning two golds at the European Championships in Rome, Italy, in the Women’s 10m Platform and Women’s 10m Synchro events.

This came straight off the back of two golds and a silver in the Women’s 10m Platform, Mixed 10m Platform Synchro and Women’s 10m Platform Synchro respectively, at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK.

On top of her brilliant sporting achievements, Andrea has already proven to be a role model within British sport, being crowned BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2020.
