The recruitment phase for volunteers for Tarragona 2018 will end on January 22, five months before the start of the Games.
From this date, the operational phase will begin, which will include, among other things, the carrying out of specific training, the allocation of volunteering areas and the definition of the specific positions and needs of the Games.

The Mayor of Tarragona and President of the Organizing Committee of the Games Josep Fèlix Ballestero, stressed that “the recruitment phase ends very satisfactorily … we will approach the final phase, during which we will identify the operational needs for the Games, and carry on the specific volunteer training program. ”
An online platform for management and training of volunteers is also planned. All Tarragona 2018 volunteers will be able to manage on line their personal profile and obtain both basic and specific training.

The #ViuelsJocs campaign launched in 2013 has now registered more than 7,000 candidates, while a thousand people have participated in activities organized throughout the country. The majority of candidates are women (69%) aged 16 – 25 years (55%), most of whom are university students.

Until January 22nd, a last opportunity is offered to aspiring volunteers, who can register on www.voluntaris2018.cat.

The Mediterranean Games will be held in Tarragona from June 22 until the 1st July 1, 2018. The organization expects to receive about 4,000 athletes, from 26 nationalities.
