Ongoing analyses of samples collected from this summer’s European Youth Olympic Festival Baku 2019 have resulted in a positive test for prohibited substances.

An investigation into the Adverse Analytical Finding is currently being conducted by the European Olympic Committees (EOC), which will provide further details about the case only once these procedures have been concluded.

For legal reasons, neither the name of the athlete nor that of the respective NOC and IF, which have already been notified, will be disclosed until the investigation has been concluded.

As part of its efforts to protect clean athletes and the integrity of its competitions, the EOC has established a zero-tolerance policy to combat cheating and to hold anyone responsible for using or providing doping products accountable.
