The European Olympic Committees (EOC) follows World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)-approved Medical and Anti-Doping Guidelines for all of its sports events. The purpose of the Guidelines is to protect clean athletes competing in Europe’s premier sports events as part of the Olympic Movement.
During the 2nd edition of the European Games Minsk 2019, 1170 athletes (more than 25% of those competing) were tested as part of anti-doping activities during Games time. For the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Baku, a further 177 young athletes were tested.
