The Winter EYOF Vuokatti 2021 Organising Committee has unveiled its mascot. It’s a Siberian Jay, the bird of the coniferous forests of the Kainuu region, which is said to bring good luck. The bird is also known to be friendly and brave by nature.

It hasn’t got a name yet, but you will have the chance to choose it by taking part in a social media competition. All you need to do is to write your suggestion in the mascot’s post on the EYOF Vuokatti 2021 Instagram or Facebook account before the deadline of 5 February 2020.

What’s the prize?

If you comment on the post with a suggested name, you will automatically be entered into a prize draw where you could win an accommodation gift card worth 450€ to the Hotel Aateli in Vuokatti and two ski lift tickets to the slopes of Vuokatti.

The person who proposes the best name for the mascot will be rewarded separately with a special prize. The winning name will be chosen by a jury, consisting of members from the EYOF 2021 Vuokatti Organising Committee.

Both the name of the mascot and the winner of the prize draw will be announced on 9 February 2020, marking one year to go before the beginning of the event.
