“On behalf of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, I want to share my congratulations with the EOC and all partners in Poland for the signing of the Host City Regional Contract for the European Games 2023. This is a major milestone for an event that will bring Europe together through sport. The European Olympic family, and the Olympic Movement as a whole, has shown solidarity with Ukraine from the start of the war. And Poland as a country has been incredibly supportive to Ukraine. We are very appreciative of the unity that has been shown with us and I am sure our athletes competing in the European Games will send a positive message to our people and people across the continent.
