Categories: ENOCs

The Portuguese Olympic Committee published a study named “Priority areas and general recommendations for Portuguese sport” in Lisbon, Portugal on 19 May 2022.

The document covers several case studies and sport policies from several European countries along with one-to-one interviews with experts and key stakeholders.

This is the second part of a comprehensive study related to the impact of COVID-19 on Portuguese sport and possible ways forward.

The aim of this analysis is related to the ambition to launch a public discussion about sports in areas like funds, sports participation, integrity, social responsibility, innovation, human resources, and professionalization.

The general recommendations of the study wish to lead to a reflection on the present and future of sports in Portugal, while analysing other European countries’ systems and solutions.

The study was coordinated by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the full English version is available here.
