German snowboarder Leon Ulbricht is nominated alongside four other young athletes for the 2022 Winter Piotr Nurowski “Best European Young Athlete” Prize.

During the FIS World Junior Championships 2022 in Switzerland, the 17-year-old stunned the crowd with an incredible gold medal winning performance.

“I would be honoured to win the Piotr Nurowski Prize, which would cap off my best season so far.”

Ulbricht also won a gold and bronze at this year’s Europa Cup, signalling future stardom for the highly-rated talent.

“I am only just getting started in terms of what I want to achieve in snowboarding. I am grateful for all the support around me and I want to make my team and my country proud.”
