Greek Rower Sofia Dalidou is nominated alongside four other young athletes for the 2022 Summer Piotr Nurowski “Best European Young Athlete” Prize.

In just five years since taking up the sport of rowing, Sofia became a World Champion! In May of 2022 Sofia won gold in the junior women’s double skulls and followed this up by winning gold in the same event at the World U19 Rowing Championships, held in Varese, Italy in July.

During the World U19 Rowing Championships 2022, Sofia and her crewmate broke the World Record. She is a highly motivated, effective and dedicated Rower promising a lot for the future.
