Executive Committee (ExCom) Member Ms Uschi Schmitz represented the European Olympic Committees (EOC) at the European University Sports Association (EUSA) 25th anniversary dinner.
Held in Vienna, Austria alongside the EUSA Conference, the dinner at the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein looked back on the achievements of the EUSA and towards its ambitions for the future.
Ms Schmitz presented EUSA President Adam Roczek with an award during the Conference and a special gift at the Gala Dinner, while a video message from EOC President Spyros Capralos was played to the attendees.
President Capralos said: “Please accept my best wishes for a wonderful time together in Vienna as you celebrate your 25th anniversary with your Conference and Gala Dinner.
“The EUSA has made a great contribution to university sport, and beyond, since its formation in 1999. Since our two organisations signed an MoU in 2018, we have worked closely together to ensure that Europe’s student population have the opportunities they need to practice sport.
“We remain committed to working closely with the EUSA in the coming years, strengthening our partnerships and offering sport to all, and we believe that the future of the EUSA under the excellent guidance of President Roczek will be bright.”
