Italian gymnast Manila Esposito had a dream 2024 as she enjoyed success at both a home European Championships and the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
In Rimini, Italy, Esposito was the star of the show as she won four European Championship gold medals in the all-round, balance beam, floor and team categories.
She then went on to medal twice at Paris 2024 with a bronze in the balance beam bettered by being part of the Italian team to win silver.
Esposito said: “Gymnastics is my life right now. It has helped me growing up, continues to help me grow up, and has shaped who I am. Every day, it pushes me to surpass all my limits because it makes me feel free.
“By training every day and consistently going to the gym, I achieved my main goal of participating in the Olympics. It has been my dream since I was little. I’m very happy to have reached it this year, thanks not only to my dedication but also, and especially, to the people who have been there for me.”
