As is now well established tradition, the EOC Executive Committee met at the IOC HQ in Lausanne last 6 February for its first meeting in 2009. President Patrick Hickey (IRL) having been blocked in Dublin by a snowstorm, the meeting was chaired by Vice-President Alexander Kozlovsky (RUS). The day before the meeting the Members attended the ceremony for the handing of the Olympic Flame to the Polish delegation from the 2009 Winter EYOF.
