4 EUROPEAN YOUNG REPORTERS ACCEPTED IN THE SINGAPORE 2010 TRAINING PROGRAM

Lausanne, June 7 –  The IOC has accepted the EOC  nominees to join the Young Reporters Training Program at the 1st Youth Olympic Games: 2 boys – Ben Fridman (Israel) and Raitis Purins (Latvia) – and 2 girls –  Elodie Guegan (France) and Iuliia Vynokurova (Ukraine).

The European nominees have been selected among 18 candidatures received from the ENOCs.

Some 28 young Reporters from the 5 continents, Singapore host city and the next future organizers  (Innsbruck 2012 and Nanjin 2014) will attend the training programme.

 Daniel Gruber (Austria) will be the representative of Innsbruck 2012.

 “ All these young journalists will be able to meet the athletes, Olympians and Games organizers,” said Gilbert Felli, Olympic Games Executive Director for the International Olympic Committee, adding, “They will receive training from seasoned media professionals and will also be able to access the very same cultural, training and educational programmes being offered to the athletes.”
