NEW LEADERSHIP FOR NETHERLANDS OLYMPIC COMMITTEE

Arnhem, 10 June André Bolhuis has taken over from Erica Terpstra as head of the Dutch NOC, the Netherlands Olympic Committee and Sports Federation. A Field Hockey Olympian at the 1972 Munich and 1976 Montréal Games, and veteran Chef de Mission for the Dutch team at Olympic Games, onetime President his National Hockey Federation, member of his NOCs Executive since 2007, Bolhuis took over as President after Erica Terpstras mandate expired last 18 May.

As of 1 May, Gerard Dielessen has taken over as Secretary General from Theo Fledderus, who had announced his departure at the beginning of the year. A Journalist, Dielessen directed Dutch national broadcaster NOS from 2003 to date.

A new chair of the national athletes commission has also been appointed; he is Jeroen Straathof, who took part in the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics, the Sydney 2000 Paralympics and Athens 2004 Olympics, and who replaces Trinko Keen.
