YOUNG IRISH ATHLETES TRAIN IN ROMANIA

Dublin, 17 June the Olympic Council of Ireland have organised an Olympic Youth training camp for 70 young athletes who will be taking part in the Singapore 2010 YOG and the Trabzon 2011 EYOF.  

 The camp began today and will continue till 22 June, with a programme that gives the young athletes preparing for Singapore and Trabzon sports specific training in Athletics, Boxing, Cycling, Gymnastics, Rowing and Triathlon, and also includes workshops and consultations on high performance science, medicine, and performance management led by top level sports experts such as Giles Warrington,  Rod McLoughlin,  Aidan Woods,  Stephen Martin and Ciara Losty.

 The camp has been coordinated by OCI sports director Martin Burke.
