VORARLBERG-LIECHTENSTEIN AND TBILISI WILL ORGANISE THE 2015 EYOFs

Belgrade, 27 November during the second day of works, the 39th EOC General Assembly has elected the cities that will host the 2015 European Youth Olympic Festivals.

For the first time in the history of this European multi-sports event, the winter EYOF, the 12th to date, has been awarded to a joint (Austria-Liechtenstein) bid. The other candidate was Sarajevo.

The bid for the Summer 2015 EYOF, the 13th in the series, was won by the Georgian capital Tbilisi, against Brno (CZE), who were competing for the second time.

As per tradition, on the second day of the general assembly, the EOC awarded their European Laurels in recognition of outstanding role in the promotion and dev belopment6 of sport. The 2010 edition  went to

–      Chingiz HUSEYNZADA MUKHTAR (AZE)

–      Lino FARRUGIA SACCO (MLT)

–      Yuri YURIEV (RUS)

–      Vladimir MILLER (SVK)
