Skopje, December 2 – The Olympic Committee of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the State Agency for Youth and Sports , the Local Self Government and the Faculty of Physical Education have recently organized a successful conference aiming at reviewing the current sport situation in the country.

After a welcome speech and analysis given by the NOC President Dr. Vasil Tupurkovski, lecturers and representatives of the National Federations, Olympic Committee, Government and the Local Self Government presented the current sport situation in Macedonia, illustrating the legislation and categorization of the sports, athletes, coaches, health care and doping control, and psycho-pedagogical aspects as well as an analysis of the school sport.

The conclusions adopted will be used for the creation of a National Strategy for the Development of Sport in Macedonia.
