Tel Aviv, 25rd May This month the Olympic torch arrived in Israel for the first time in history.
The Samsung Group, one of the Top Sponsors of the Olympic Games, which considers sports to be a supreme value and sponsors sports activities around the world, recently bought one of Olympic torches and sent it to Israel for a short period before the Olympic Games in London, which will start on July 27.
The Torch was presented to the Media at a gala event, in the presence of the President of the Israeli NOC Mr. Zvi Varshaviak, Secretary General Mr. Efraim Zinger, honorary treasurer of the Olympic Committee Mr. Arie Zeif, and Samsung Marketing CEO Mr. Barack Fallachi.
The torch was unveiled by Israel’s first medallist, the Judoka Yael Arad (Barcelona 1992), and Judoka Alice Schlesinger, who will compete in the London Olympic Games.
The Olympic torch was brought by Samsung specifically for the “Olympic Day” held in Haifa and organized by the Olympic Committee of Israel in collaboration with the Municipality of Haifa and Israel Radio Group, the official Olympic radio of Israel.
