At the meeting in Andorra, Europe’s results at the London Olympic Games were widely discussed, as well as the next EOC General Assembly in Eilat, and the many candidatures for the 2nd Piotr Nurowski Prize for Europe’s best young athlete, for which there will be a vote at the Assembly in Israel. Also, the chairmen of the EOC Commissions delivered reports on their briefs, including matters concerning the European Union, the European Youth Olympic Festival, marketing, and the Olympic Games.

The subject of illegal betting in sport was addressed in depth and, in consideration of the major concerns which are affecting many European NOCs, a working group has been appointed to follow this issue.
