Riga, May 10, 2016 – the EOC Medical and Anti-Doping commission met in Riga last Friday, invited by its member Dr L?ga Cirule, the Latvian Olympic Team’s Chief Physician.

NOC President Aldons Vrublevskis welcomed the European experts, including Chair Dr Klaus Steinbach (Germany) and members Dr Norberts Bahl (Austria), Dr Jaroslavs Vetvi?ka (Czech Republic), Dr Emin Ergen (Turkey), Dr Christian Schneider (Germany) and Dr Mark Stewart ((Great Britain).

The meeting discussed sports medicine and anti-doping issues linked to Europe, and prepared some recommendations to further strengthen the fight against doping on our continent. A press conference gave the local media the opportunity to meet the commission members and to learn more about how the EOC engages anti-doping issues.
