NOC OF CROATIA CELEBRATE 25th ANNIVERSARY

The EOC’s Acting President Janez Kocijančič and Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi are attending the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Croatian Olympic Committee, invited by their friend President Zlatko Matesa, who is also member of the EOC Executive Committee.

The three joined IOC President Thomas Bach at the Presidential Palace, where they were received by Croatian President Ms Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic. Also at the reception were Honorary IOC member Antun Vrdoljak, Vice-President of the COC Gruden, Olympic gold medal in javelin Sara Kolak, the President of the Club of Croatian Olympians Zoran Primorac, the Secretary General of the Croatian Olympic Committee Josip Cop, and the head of communications of the President of the IOC Christian Klaue.

Following a mid-day press conference, in the evening, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, President Matesa’ guests will attend the main ceremony for the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Croatian Olympic Committee, which was established on September 10, 1991.

During the ceremony they will meet a number of Croatian Olympic medal winners, and the best and most promising young Croatian athletes will evoke memories of basketball legend Drazen Petrovic.
