At its traditional Olympic Ball in London, the BOA this year organised an extra special evening with a series of awards, bringing together the Rio Olympians once again to celebrate the success of this summer Games and help support Team GB on the road to PyeongChang 2018, Tokyo 2020 and beyond.

At the event, which took place on Wednesday 30th November, Team GB’s hockey gold medallists were the big winners, taking home:

• Team GB Superfan, presented by Panasonic: Zoe Hainsworth
• Great Britain’s Choice, presented by Aldi: Team GB’s Women’s Hockey Team
• Coach of the Year: Danny Kerry, Women’s Hockey
• BBC Moment of the Games: Team GB’s Women’s Hockey Team

Whilst the Olympians’ Olympian Award went to rower Katherine Grainger, who, with five Olympic medals is Great Britain’s most decorated female Olympian.

Held at Battersea Evolution and presented by Claudia Winkleman and Tom Daley, the Team GB Ball hosted over 800 guests for a gala dinner, a live and silent auction before Gary Barlow leader of the Take That group entertained the athletes.
