An ANOC delegation led by ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg recently visited Prague, as the Czech capital city begins its preparations to host the 23rd ANOC General Assembly next autumn.

The Czech Olympic Committee welcomed the delegation to Prague last week in their historic headquarters, and assisted them during their two-day site visit, which included the hotels that will accommodate the delegates of NOCs from across the world.

Prague will host the largest meeting of representatives of the Olympic Movement from 31 October to 3 November 2017, which will include the now traditional ANOC Awards ceremony.

ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg said:

“The meetings we have had here in Prague have been very productive and we are confident that they will deliver a fantastic General Assembly and ANOC Awards later this year. The facilities are excellent and we have no doubt that the world’s NOCs will be made to feel at home in this beautiful city.”

Roman Kumpost, Vice President of the Czech Olympic Committee said:

“We are excited to have the opportunity to host the ANOC General Assembly and ANOC Awards, and to welcome representatives of all National Olympic Committees to Prague this autumn. We are very pleased with the meetings we have had with the ANOC delegation. Our team will put a great effort into preparing an unforgettable event.”
