At its 20th General Assembly, held on June 30th at the Adriatic Hotel in Durres, the Albanian National Olympic Committee elected its new governing bodies. For the 2017-2021 quadrennial they re-elected Viron Bezhani President, over the other candidate Ilir Trebicka. They also elected Vojo Malo Vice President, and Genc Boga Treasurer.
In a second round, the Assembly also elected the 8 members of the Executive Committee.
At the end of the proceedings of the Assembly, Bezhani thanked the participants for their trust and sought continued co-operation from all members of the Assembly, expressing his readiness to maximize joint efforts with his elected colleagues for the development and representation of Albanian sport, the spread of the Olympic Spirit and the promotion of the values of Olympism in society.
