Belgium – Jean-Michel Saive, Olympic Games and cartoon hero

Brussels, 12th July – the Belgian Olympic table tennis champion, about to leave for London for his 7th Olympic Games, has now also become the hero of a cartoon entitled “The Coach”, drawn by De Marck and published by Ballon Media, which has been in Belgian bookshops since 6th July.
Jean Michel Saive, who is a member of the EOC athletes’ commission, attended the presentation of the first issue, where he played table tennis with some young players who had come to wish him well for London 2012.
Previous editions of the cartoon starred tennis player Kim Clijsters and cyclist Tom Boonen.
