The Council of the Croatian Olympic Committee, headed by President Zlatko Matesa, has appointed Josip Cop Secretary General of the NOC. Cop, who stood alone and has held the position since 2005, now starts his fourth mandate.

At its meeting on May 8, the Council also proposed to the NOC General Assembly some changes to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics Project, including an increase in the number of scholarships for Olympic candidates and the expansion of the list of beneficiaries of development programmes for athletes.
