The European Olympic Committees (EOC) is pleased to confirm the candidates for the election of President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Treasurer and 12 Executive Committee (ExCom) members at the 54th EOC General Assembly in Frankfurt, Germany.
EOC President, Mr Spyros Capralos, Vice President, Mrs Daina Gudzinevičiūtė, and Treasurer, Mr Peter Mennel, will all stand unopposed for re-election to their roles. Italian National Olympic Committee (NOC) Secretary General, Mr Carlo Mornati, is the sole candidate for the Secretary General position with incumbent Mr Raffaele Pagnozzi set to retire after 19 years in the role.
In total there are 18 individuals standing for election to the ExCom for a four-year term through to 2029. This includes nine current ExCom members and 9 new candidates. These individuals offer an impressive array of experiences including four IOC Members, 10 NOC Presidents, 5 Secretary Generals, 5 Olympic medallists and 10 Olympic athletes.

The EOC introduced an amendment to its Constitution prior to the elections in 2021, which requires five of the 16 elected members to be of each gender.
All candidatures were received by the deadline of midnight on 30 December.
The 54th EOC General Assembly will be held in Frankfurt from 28 February – 1 March 2025.
