The EOC Legal Affairs Commission met at the EOC headquarters in Rome on 18 March 2019.
The EOC Constitution and By-Laws were the main topics on the agenda. Chaired by Marc Theisen (LUX), the group is working on the review of the Articles of the Association.
Their proposed re-draft will be then submitted for ratification to the EOC Executive Committee.
Another topic of interest for the Commission this year was the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its implication to NOCs, Federations, Sports clubs, the Sports world in general. After sending out a questionnaire to the NOCs of Europe, the Commission verified that they all were compliant with the new regulation on personal data.
Other Commissions are planning their annual meetings in the upcoming months.
