Patrick Hickey (IRL) and Raffaele Pagnozzi (ITA), respectively the President and the Secretary General of the EOC, went to Tirana last 30-31 March for a visit to the Albanian Olympic Committee, currently living through somewhat uncertain times.
In effect, in recent months two new NOC presidents have been elected, by two different assemblies and under different rules.
As the Olympic Charter recognises just one Olympic Committee per country, the International Olympic Committee has asked the heads of the EOC to undertake a diplomatic mission with the two parties, with the participation of the government.
