Prague, November 19, 2015 – On the eve of the EOC 44th General Assembly, the Executive Committee met in the Czech capital city to take stock of the year activities.

Czech NOC President Jiri Kejval, and Secretary General Petr Graclik attended the opening and warmly welcomed President Patrick Hickey and their European colleagues.

Later in the meeting, the EC members welcomed ANOC President Sheik Al Sabah, then IOC President Thomas Bach, special guests of the EOC General Assembly.

The agenda allowed participants to address the key topics of 2015 – the first European Games in Baku and future editions, the preparation of the forthcoming European Youth Olympic Festivals.

Members discussed items related to institutional activities and focused in detail on the general assembly that opens on Friday morning in the beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city. The host NOC intended to allow the 300 participants from the European family to also enjoy the artistic and cultural atmosphere of Prague, “the golden city”.

Next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Lausanne earlier this year – the exact date yet to be determined – the headquarters of ANOC, the world association of NOCs.
