Lillehammer, February 15, 2016 – During his stay at the Winter Youth Olympic games, which took off on Fridays evening, President Patrick Hickey spent the weekend attending as many competitions as possible and mingling with young champions.
He was among the firsts to congratulate Latvia’s Kristers Aparjods who won a gold medal the luge men’s singles on Sunday morning.
Together with NOC of Latvia President Mr. Aldons Vrublevskis and President of Latvian luge federation Atis Strenga, the three sports leaders congratulated young champion Kristers and his Olympian mother Aiva, who is also his coach.
A nice gift ahead of Kristens’ 17 birthday – next 24th Fabruary!
