The EOC was terribly shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of the serious earthquake that has hit Croatia.

EOC President Janez Kocijancic and EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi expressed their personal sympathy to all those affected in a letter addressed to Zlatko Mateša, President of the Croatian Olympic Committee.

“This tragic event has come in an already tough moment for everybody. Allow us to say that our heartfelt thoughts are with you and the Croatian people,” Kocijancic and Pagnozzi wrote in the letter.

“We wish our Croatian friends all the best of luck and hope this trying time will be over soon,” they concluded.
