The success of the 16th Edition of the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Friuli Venezia Giulia 2023 was not just realised on the snow and ice. Almost 500,000 views were reached through the streaming on EOC TV across every corner of the continent.
Throughout the weeklong event every moment of action was captured and live streamed with impressive viewing figures being achieved. On top of the nearly 500,000 views there was almost 100,000 unique viewers and 64,000 hours of live action watched, providing a new level of exposure for the young athletes. As well as this incredible exposure, the data also illustrates the public desire to be able to watch the exciting competition.
EOC President Spyros Capralos said: “I am delighted with the streaming figures achieved at the EYOF Friuli Venezia Giulia 2023. Compared to Vuokatti 2022 just one year ago, views were up by over 350,000! The festivals have always been a popular sporting event, which also offers a valuable educational experience for young athletes, but we are now able to offer them exposure like never before”.
EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi added “We have proved the EOC TV is offering additional opportunities and benefits not only to our athletes but also our events, making them more attractive to potential commercial opportunities”.
EOC TV is available at eoctv.org where footage from EYOF Friuli Venezia Giulia 2023 and many more EOC events can be watched on demand.
