The Erzurum 2017 EYOF Organising Committee and the Coordination Commission gathered again this month after the meeting they held last May in Tarragona during the EOC Seminar. This time both sides met in Istanbul on 23-25 June, at the Atakoy Olympic House, the. Turkish NOC headquarters.

EOC Coordination Commission members Leo Kranz (LIE) and Florin Misc (ROU) and EYOF manager Katerina Nycova met with NOC Secretary General Nese Gundogan and representatives from the Organizing Committee that presented the progresses made since last meeting. The OC has been shaping its final structure.

During the meetings, attended by the representatives from the Ministry of youth and education, Turkish NOC, Turkish National Sports Federations and OC members, participants mainly addressed topics related to sport infrastructures and organization, accommodation and IT. A significant part of the meetings were dedicated to NOC services and future steps in communication with NOCs.

The Organising Committee is now about to hire a significant number of employees and speed up the preparations.

The NOCs will have the opportunity to check everything during the Chefs de Mission Seminar that will be held in Erzurum from 24 till 27 November 2016.

After the swap with Sarajevo and East Sarajevo the Erzurum 2017 Organising Committee has a difficult task to prepare everything within one year only but the EOC is confident that together with the important help of the Turkish NOC and in close cooperation with the EYOF Coordination Commission it will manage it in a perfect way and next Winter EYOF will be a great success.

The EYOF will take place from 11th till 18th February 2017.
