Rome, 24th October the XVIII European Fair Play Congress has opened at the Grand Guardia palace in the northern Italian city of Verona, within the scope of Fair Play Week organised under the aegis of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Italian NOC and other partners.

In the presence of EFPM president Carlos Gonçalves, CONI and EOC secretary general Raffaele Pagnozzi welcomed the delegates from forty European countries, on behalf of the two organisations, both longstanding promoters of the principles of fair-play.

The city of Verona will live the fairplay experience throughout the week thanks to a number of initiatives that will involve its citizens, school children, the world of sport and the institutions.
