EUROPEAN FAIRPLAY MOVEMENT GATHERS IN PRAGUE

Prague, 3 November – the XVI Congress of the European Fair Play Movement (EFPM), organized in cooperation with the local NOC and under the patronage of the EOC, took place in the Czech capital on 28 and 29 October, chaired by Carlos Gonçalves (POR), President of the EFPM.

The main topic discussed was “Fair Play Education in Schools: A Shared Responsibility”, which focused on issues such as: fair play being part of each individual´s life and education, educational values in schools, teaching children fair play, positive initiatives for the struggle against racism and ethnic discrimination, fair play as part of Olympic values, and the influence of current negative symptoms as regards education.

“It had good contents and the participants left with a great impression,” commented Kveta Peck, chairwoman of the Czech Fair Play Club.
