A few days before the opening of the 2017 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival next 12 February, Erzurum will host another important event, the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup.

The Ski Jumping Hills event will take place 4-5 February, and will welcome countries with a successful winter sports tradition, serving as the final test for the Winter EYOF organisation in Erzurum, one of Europe’s rising winter sports centres.

A total of ten countries including France, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Italy, Slovenia, Estonia, Russia, Finland, USA and Turkey will compete in the event.

Finland, Italy and Slovenia revealed that they will be sending their elite athletes to this event.

The Erzurum Ski Jumping Hills, built for the 2011 Winter Universiade, are one of the world’s best ski jumping facilities and previously hosted the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup in 2010-2011 and 2012 FIS Junior World Ski Jumping Championship.
