Baku, April 20, 2015 – The presentation ceremony for the First European Games torch relay programme kicked off on Monday, attended by Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Executive Director of the Baku 2015 Operations Committee Azad Rahimov, Chief Operating Officer of Baku 2015 European Games Simon Clegg, Baku 2015 Director of Ceremonies, Catherine Ugwu and other guests.

Next Sunday, 47 days before the opening ceremony of the Games, to be held June 12, the torch will be carried across 60 districts of the country, travelling 5,500 kilometers, spreading the spirit of the Games and warming the hearts of the people.
The organisers are working to prepare a moving lighting ceremony, which will be attended, among others by EOC President Patrick Hickey, EOC Vice President Janez Kocijancic, EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi, EOC CoCom Chair Spyros Capralos, and a number of officials.
