Next 9 to 11 October, in Vilnius, the NOC of Lithuania and the IOC are co-hosting a Forum that aims to foster women’s leadership in sport.

The Forum will act as a platform for leaders to discuss ideas on gender equality In sport, an issue closely followed by the EOC Gender Equality In Sport Commission chaired by the President of the NOC of Lithuania, Daina Gudzineviciute.

On same date, the Lithuanian NOC will be pleased to welcome its European colleagues for the celebrations for the 25^th anniversary of Lithuania’s return to the Olympic Family in 1992, and the participation at the Barcelona Olympics of Lithuanian athletes for the first time after the Restoration of Independence of the Republic of Lithuania.

European National Olympic Committees are expected to participate in the event with presidents and secretaries general, accompanied by a woman in a managerial position within their NOC or a National Federation.

The IOC will cover the cost of travel – return air tickets in economy class (direct itinerary) – and accommodation for two participants.
