Media representatives that wish to attend the European Games and European Youth Winter Olympic Festival next year can apply now for accreditation through the official websites.

The 2nd edition of the European Games will be held from 21-30 June 2019 in the Belarusian capital of Minsk, while the Winter EYOF is scheduled to take place from 10-15 February in Sarajevo & East Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Registration for the Sarajevo & East Sarajevo EYOF officially opened on 30 November and will remain open until 31 January. The registration platform can be accessed here or via the local organising committee’s website.

Interest is expected to be high as the EYOF will be the first major multi-sports event held in Sarajevo since the 1984 Olympic Winter Games, and will once again showcase the magic of winter sports disciplines in a youth-friendly festival atmosphere. Athletes from 46 European nations are expected to take part.

In Minsk, a number of significant milestones have been reached in recent days, including the mascot launch, the start of ticket sales and the opening of media accreditation. Not only will there not be any quotas on media looking to attend the 2nd European Games, all media will receive visa-free access to the Games.

Registration is open until 28 February and can be accessed here.  For more information regarding the accreditation process, please visit the Minsk 2019 website.

Information on media accreditation for the two other European Olympic Committees (EOC) properties taking place in 2019 – the Games of the Small States of Europe in Montenegro and the European Summer Youth Olympic Festival in Baku – will be communicated in due course.
