A silver medal at the Olympic Games Paris 2024 was the highlight of another remarkable year for 17-year-old Dominika Banevič, more commonly known as B-Girl Nicka.
After winning the bronze medal at the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023, B-Girl Nicka continued to put Lithuania on the breaking map with stunning performances worldwide.
That culminated in another bronze medal, this time at the World DanceSport Federation World Breaking Championships in Chengdu, China in December.
She said: “It’s such a big honour to hear the anthem, see the flag rising when you win gold or any other medal – you can’t describe this feeling of how proud you are to represent your country.
“A lot of people say that Lithuania is a small country, so you can’t achieve a lot, but what I believe is that it doesn’t matter where you come from, you can always achieve anything because everything is possible.”
