Antonin Guy had already enjoyed significant national success in France in biathlon before he made his international debut at the Winter European Youth Olympic Festival 2023 Friuli Venezia Giulia.

He has gone on to enjoy a breakthrough season in 2023/24, where he claimed three gold medals at the Winter Youth Olympic Games Gangwon 2024 in the 12.5km individual, 7.5km sprint and single mixed relay events, along with a silver in the mixed relay. That was followed by 12.5km individual and 4x6km mixed relay golds at the Youth World Championships, and a silver in the men’s 3×7.5km relay.

Guy wants to combine his success in biathlon with studies, and has applied to join an engineering school.

He commented: “I am devoted to my sport and the values my family taught me. I love this sport because it conveys respect, friendship, hard work as a key to success, as well as solidarity and sustainability.

“For the next few years I’d like to continue to perform at international level and take things one step at a time.”
