Dear Colleagues,
Dear Friends,
This remains an incredibly busy period for all National Olympic Committees, and it was truly inspiring to see so many leaders from Europe and beyond at the ANOC General Assembly in Cascais, Portugal.
The ANOC General Assembly provided a timely opportunity for NOCs to reflect on the great success of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, where so many European athletes shined.
I hope you share my confidence that the Olympic Movement stands united and in a strong position to continue the momentum in the months ahead.
At the European Olympic Committees , engagement with our NOCs is vital to promoting Olympic values and inspiring sport across Europe, and we are always looking for ways we can provide you with further support.
Early last month in collaboration with the NOC of Azerbaijan, ANOC and the IOC through Olympic Solidarity, we held the 4th Digital Communication and Social Media Seminar in Baku. This seminar again proved very productive in terms of knowledge sharing and collaboration on future initiatives.
In today’s digital landscape, it is so important the EOC remains at the forefront of innovation in communication to ensure the Olympic Movement stays relevant particularly to young people.
This is an area the EOC will continue to support NOCs on and maximise the potential in 2025 and beyond, starting with the Winter EYOF in Bakuriani, Georgia in February.
Preparations for our upcoming sport events are progressing smoothly, as they do for the 54th EOC General Assembly in Frankfurt, Germany from 28 February-1 March 2025.
In the same manner that we look to further support our NOCs,I thank you for your continued support of the EOC’s activities.
With EurOlympic regards,
President Spyros Capralos
