The National Olympic Committee of Belarus launched today a drawing contest for kids named “The Olympic Flame lights the Hearts.”

The main theme of the contest is “spectacular sporting events” and all paintings will be dedicated to the 2^nd European Games Minsk 2019 as well as the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The initiative, which was also successfully organised last year, aims to introduce the ideals and values of the Olympic Movement to children and young people.

The challenge is open to children from 11 to 17 years old and includes the following subcategories:

1. “Fire of hope” (orphans and children without parental care)
2. “Fire of inspiration” (physically challenged children)
3. “Fire of unity” (secondary school students)
4. “Fire of friendship” (children from special educational institutions)

The winners will be awarded in June 2020.
