NOCs enjoy presentations and discussions as Digital Seminar proves fruitful in Baku

After three days of hard work and knowledge sharing, the 4th Regional Digital Communication and Social Media Seminar came to a close in Baku, Azerbaijan on Friday 4 October.

The European Olympic Committees is proud to partner with the Azerbaijan National Olympic Committee (NOC), Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to host the event and support its member NOCs.

Following the success of the third edition in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2023, the Seminar highlighted the importance of innovation and collaboration in advancing digital communication.

Key sessions included a review of the digital outcomes from Paris 2024 and exploring the role of AI in talent identification and fan engagement, in addition to looking at future innovations for EOC events, including the 2027 European Games in Istanbul.

Another highlight was the Paris 2024 Social Media Report, presented by ANOC and Redtorch, which analysed how NOCs maximised engagement across social media platforms.

The seminar, supported by Olympic Solidarity, provided a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration on future digital communication projects, preparing NOCs and Athletes’ Commission for upcoming events such as Istanbul 2027 and the Olympic Games Los Angeles 2028.
