NOCS OF POLAND AND SPAIN SIGNED COOPERATION AGREEMENT

The Polish Olympic Committee (POK) and the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) signed a cooperation agreement yesterday, 13 September.

The ceremony took place in the POK headquarters in front of the Wall of Polish Sport Glory, where POK President Andrzej Kraśnicki and his Spanish counterpart Alejandro Blanco signed the contract in the presence of Spanish Ambassador for Poland HE Francisco Javier Santabrii Valderramy, together with COE Vice President Francisco Blazquez Garcia and POK Secretary General Adam Krzesinki

Also representatives from the Polish Handball Federations and other sport associations attended.

Both Presidents highlighted the good and friendly relations between their NOCs as well as their countries in the field of sport. Blanco recalled his visit in Warsaw during the European Judo Open 2018 and the great Olympic medallists Waldemar Legienia e Paul Nastula. He also praised Polish sport, its champions and its valuable contribution to the world sport heritage. “I am confident this agreement will carry on our excellent cooperation, as well as the continued work between both our NOCs and federations”, Blanco stated following the signature.

Kraśnicki, for its part, stressed the importance of both NOCs’ commitments to put every effort to support the sport facilities in the relevant countries.

After the ceremony, the Spanish and Polish delegation were welcomed by the Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism, Witold Banka, at the Ministry’s headquarters, where they discussed on the cooperation between the two institutions, as well as the important role that sport plays in building solid and friendly international relations.
