The National Olympic Committees of Ukraine and of Japan have agreed to continue their cooperation until 2020.

A memorandum extending cooperation was signed by NOC of Ukraine President Sergey Bubka and NOC of Japan President Tsunekazhu Takeda, during a visit Bubka recently paid to Japan.

The leaders discussed how to strengthen cooperation, in particular in view of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, for which Takeda said they were happy to assist in the organization of training sessions and test competitions for Ukrainian athletes.

The agreement also extends to cooperation in research and development in the fields of sports, sports medicine, doping control, exchange of sports delegations and much more.
