Nominations invited for EOC Olympic Laurel Awards

The European Olympic Committees (EOC) has launched the nomination process for the 2025 EOC Olympic Laurel Awards.

Next year will mark the 18th edition of the EOC Olympic Laurels, which honour individuals or organisations for their contributions to promoting and developing sport.

National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have been invited to submit one candidate for consideration by the EOC Executive Committee, with a deadline of 10 December 2024.

The EOC Olympic Laurels especially recognise nominees who are reaching the end of their career or retired, and are not open to Presidents, Secretaries General and Executive Committee members of NOCs.

A maximum of four recipients from the nominees will be decided by the EOC Executive Committee, with an award ceremony then being held during the 54th EOC General Assembly in Frankfurt, Germany from 28 February-1 March 2025.

The award ceremony will also feature the EOC Order of Merit, which recognises individuals for their distinguished contribution to the Olympic Movement.

There have been 89 recipients of the EOC Olympic Laurels since their creation in 2007, with a full list of former winners available here.
