Twenty one days to the Games … the final details are falling into place and “Rio is ready to welcome the world”, as the IOC confirms, whilst the Olympic Torch is nearing Rio, now being in São José dos Pinhais, in Paraná, one of the 27 states of Brazil, located in the south of the country, of which the capital city Curitiba is considered to be the one that offers the best quality of life in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the 13 official posters for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games were unveiled three days ago at the city’s iconic Museum of Tomorrow, the new science museum designed by world renowned architect Santiago Calatrava.

They are the work of 12 Brazilian artists – Alexandre Mancini, Antonio Dias, Beatriz Milhazes, Claudio Tozzi, Ana Clara Schindler, Gringo Cardia, Gustavo Greco, Gustavo Piqueira, Guto Lacaz, Juarez Machado, Kobra and Rico Lins – and one Colombian, Olga Amaral.

“You have Brazil and the Games represented in very different ways, from the child with the kite, to the torch, the Olympic rings, and so on,” said Carla Camurati, Rio 2016’s culture director.

Check out the posters and tell the Rio organisers which is your favourite on Facebook.
